With their curved teardrop shape, these flags are designed to keep the fabric relatively tensioned while providing a large printed area for your branding, promotional messages and event graphics.

Available in four sizes, Teardrop Flags are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and work particularly well for events, forecourts, exhibitions, retail promotions, sporting venues and business advertising.

High-Quality Knitted Polyester Flags

Each Teardrop Flag is printed onto 117gsm Knitted Polyester using a professional dye-sublimation printing process.

This produces vibrant full-colour graphics with approximately 80–90% show-through onto the reverse of a standard single-sided flag.

The design on the reverse will therefore remain visible but will appear mirrored.

Front-Facing Orientation

As standard, our single-sided Teardrop Flag templates are set up so that the front face of the design has the pole and base on the left-hand side.

If you would prefer the pole and base on the right-hand side, the template shape can be flipped horizontally.

Only the template shape should be flipped — not the artwork itself.

This gives you flexibility when positioning your flag next to entrances, walkways, exhibition stands or other displays.

Double-Sided Teardrop Flags

A true double-sided Teardrop Flag option is also available.

Double-sided flags are manufactured using:

• Two printed Knitted Polyester graphics
• One blockout membrane positioned between them

All three layers are stitched together and supplied as one complete flag graphic.

This allows each side to display correctly rather than showing a mirrored image through the fabric.

Important Information About Double-Sided Flags

Double-sided flag graphics are heavier than standard single-sided flags.

Our standard flag bases are not designed to support the additional weight of double-sided graphics.

For this reason, flag bases are not covered by our warranty when used with double-sided flags.

If you are considering a double-sided Teardrop Flag, please take this into account when choosing the installation and location.

Choosing the Correct Base

Different base options are available depending on:

• Flag size
• Indoor or outdoor use
• Hard or soft ground
• Surface type
• Intended location

For example, a soft-ground outdoor installation may require a different base from a flag being used on paving, concrete or an exhibition floor.

Wind Rating

Our Teardrop Flags are rated up to:

Beaufort Force 4 – approximately 13–18mph

Flags should be dismantled if wind speeds exceed this recommendation or if weather conditions become unsuitable.

Heavy rain combined with strong winds can increase the weight of the fabric and place additional strain on the pole and base.

Positioning Your Teardrop Flag

Positioning can make a significant difference to both appearance and lifespan.

Make sure the flag cannot:

• Catch on its own pole
• Rub against buildings
• Snag on trees or surrounding objects
• Strike nearby displays
• Interfere with another flag

If several flags are positioned together, leave enough space for each graphic to move freely.

Caring for Your Teardrop Flag

Outdoor flags are naturally exposed to sunlight, pollution and weather.

Over time:

• UV exposure can cause fading and deterioration
• Pollution may cause white or lighter areas to become grey
• Repeated movement can gradually wear the fabric

Teardrop Flags can be washed in a domestic washing machine on a 30°C wash without detergent.

Always allow the flag to dry completely before folding or storing it.

Taking the flag down during poor weather and storing it correctly when not in use will help protect both the graphic and the pole system.

Single-Sided or Double-Sided?

For most promotional applications, a standard single-sided flag provides excellent visibility because the printed design shows through to the reverse.

A double-sided flag may be worth considering if:

• Correctly orientated artwork is required on both sides
• Different designs are needed on each face
• Mirrored reverse graphics are unsuitable

However, the additional weight must be considered carefully because it affects the load placed on the pole and base.
